TLDR: Get $$$ to cover costs of meeting up

What is it?

A 10 ETH micro grants program to fund IRL Farcaster meetups. Our goal is to help the Farcaster community grow stronger by covering the costs of meetups.

Where’d the ETH come from?

We created this crowdfund on Fabric earlier this year. Since then we have been giving out grants to community members who organize a meetup IRL.

How much funding can I get?

For each meetup, we will fund $20 per person, up to $200 total. You have to get at least 5 farcasters to show up in order to qualify. Any Farcaster that holds an Event Pass is eligible to apply!

What’s the process for funding?

1. Send @matthew a heads up over direct cast to confirm.
2. Create your meetup on Eventcaster and share it to Farcaster.
3. Get at least 5 Farcasters to show up and take a photo of everyone IRL.
4. Cast your photo to the Events channel and we’ll send you funds.

Is there a limit to what can get funded?

No—as long as it’s within reason. Drinks, food, movie tickets, etc are all fine.

If we feel like the fund is being abused we reserve the right to deny requests. If there a lot of requests, we might limit to one per city per month.
